Signature Aquariums

Living biotopes, interior landscape artworks

Scenographed freshwater ecosystems, where minerals, plants, animals, and light compose a lasting, silent, and contemplative work.

Each plant finds its place to ensure plant diversity and visual balance. Invented rocks organize currents, suctions, discharges, and turbulence to support the vitality of the biotope. When the dreamed image meets rigorous design, the aquarium becomes a landscape artwork.

The studio has developed the concept of ecosculpture: an aquarium that is sometimes open to aerial flora, where filtering roots contribute to water quality and where the mineral sculpture remains the foundation of the whole.

  • Credible invented rocks in mineral mortar, with textures and shades inspired by natural strata.

  • Scenographed hydrodynamics that nourish life while remaining invisible.

  • Light as matter: highlighting reliefs, reflections, and shadows, day and night cycles.

  • Silence and presence: self-contained systems, no disturbances, where contemplation takes precedence.

  • Autonomy: works designed to live on their own. Rituals and maintenance can be managed by the studio.

  • Dialogue with architecture: continuity or measured contrast.

  • Style: surrealist or hyperrealist, minimalist or generous.

  • Climate: temperate regional or subtropical freshwater.

  • Balance: a quartet of mineral, plant, animal, and light.

  • Technical approach: discreet sobriety or targeted automation if requested.

  • Typology: closed aquarium or open to aerial flora.

  • Scale and budget: from cabinets of curiosities to monumental pieces.

  • Embedded in a wall, a niche, or woodwork.

  • Double-sided between two rooms for a dual perspective.

  • Column or elliptical for staircases and voids.

  • Central island for lounges and halls.

  • Horizontal panoramic for a traveling gaze.

  • Vertical aquatic plant totem for the entrance.

  • Freshwater garden for patios and winter gardens.

  • Cabinet of curiosities as a series of scenographed nano-aquariums.

  • Freshwater exclusively. Marine ecosystems are refused as they are too fragile.

  • Living elements chosen with high standards, priority given to regional species. Animal-free options available.

  • Materials: upcycling of polystyrene at the core of sculptures, low-resin mineral mortars.

  • Sustainability: works that are repairable and can be relocated if necessary.

  • Stance: no disposable ephemera. Each piece is designed to last.
